Terms and Conditions

Let's keep things simple: you hire us, we do amazing work, everyone's happy. But just in case life gets complicated, here's what you need to know.

ESTIMATES AND AGREEMENTS

Every project begins with a written estimate. When you accept it, you're agreeing to the scope, timeline, and payment terms outlined here. It's not a pinky promise — it's a real agreement, so give it a read before you click accept.

DESIGN PROJECTS

Design projects are scheduled to be completed within 4 weeks of the start date. Timely delivery of all required content, feedback, and approvals by the client is essential to meet this timeline.

If content, feedback, or approvals are not received within the 4-week timeframe, the project will be deemed complete as delivered. The final invoice will become due immediately at that point, regardless of any outstanding revisions or content. (We're patient, but we're not time travellers.)

PAYMENT 

A 50% deposit is required before work begins — this secures your spot and keeps the coffee fund alive. The remaining balance is due upon project completion or at the 4-week mark, whichever comes first.

Payments are accepted by e-transfer to admin@firstimpress.ca. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee. Invoices unpaid after 30 days will accrue interest at 2% per month (24% per annum) until paid in full. We'd rather not go there, but we will.

REVISIONS

Revisions are part of the process — we want you to love what we create. Each project includes a reasonable number of revisions within the agreed scope. Changes that fall outside the original scope may be quoted separately.

YOUR CONTENT

You're responsible for providing accurate, complete, and legally owned content (text, images, logos, etc.). We'll work with what you give us, but we can't be held responsible for errors or delays caused by missing or incomplete materials.

OWNERSHIP

Once your final invoice is paid in full, ownership of the completed work transfers to you. Until then, First Impressions retains rights to all work produced.

CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel a project, let us know in writing. The deposit is non-refundable, as it covers time and resources already committed. Any work completed beyond the deposit stage will be invoiced accordingly.
